My name is Joseph Makwaya. I’m a software developer focused mostly on backend systems and software architecture.

I spend most of my time designing and building systems, while constantly exploring ideas about engineering craft, learning, and how good software evolves over time. Writing helps me slow down and clarify those ideas.

At any moment I’m either learning something new or building something. I keep track of what I’m currently working on and exploring on my now page.
